and yes I always blank on the canal.
You & Lefty aren't doing a very good job of "selling" this outing to the rest of us, Andy...

Re: Forum pike trip 2009
To be perfectly honest, I don't care if I blank.
To me fishing is all about getting out in the open air, preferably with friends, and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. You can relax whilst trying your hand at outwitting the water's occupants.
If I catch, I class that as a bonus.

Re: Forum pike trip 2009
Could be tricky for me this weekend, I have a possible days work on
Saturday next at the Boots Co. repairing a 12" valve on site.
However, if all goes well and I finish it on the day, Sunday could still be on...
I will know for sure by midweek, its not confirmed yet & spares have to be bought. If Boots come back to me at last minute telling me its on, I will decline owing to no spares.

Re: Forum pike trip 2009
good man bazz, you know fishing must come first
. this rain will help guys, i went for a look round today and is some nice colour in the water now. water temperature is falling, so all the silvers are looking for a bit of cover and shoaling up in the marinas and boats. will keep my eye on the section and keep you all posted.
