I used to go for a few hours around dark & cast a 1/2" luncheon meat cube out, complete with a grass blade over the hook bend, a few rod lengths out ... They are supposed to be waterproof but it seems that they are simply laminated paper that you cut out from the larger letter. Does anybody know what the alarms do when the batteries are low..?? I keep getting an audible series of beeps a bit like a police car siren and the led on the front flashes briefly. It must be because I saw someone fishing the River Torne yesterday on Bawtry Road. And that is now the third person I have seen there since the closed season started.
