have not been out for a while managed to do 24hour session at pool hall on the runs water just to get a bend in the rod, had 17 carp, 10 of them in to double figures biggest a 15lb mirror thought hard aswell, was a good session, rigs where my normal lead core leaders,safety clips, fluocarbon hooklinks to a size 8 wide gap hook, one rig fished in the margins over a bed of hemp,pellets & broken boilies and the other rod, 2foot off a load of lilly pads wid just a small amout of boilies overthe top of a stringer, the boilies where ocean black pepper and squid boilies my fav at the moment Very Happy

was out saturday just gone at earlswood lakes doing a bit of carping , started well landed a 14lb mirror on a pink squid pop up over some pellets in the margin, then had 2 small commons around 7lb on my method feeder rod, then i cast out and my rod broke in 2 and half of it was sent out into the middle of the lake Sad

, so sat there wid just the one rod went on to lose another decent fish, while my brother in law rubbed it and had a red letter day!!!! Got one more month of carping left , then its time to chase some pike Very Happy

last 2 trips one pikeing at kingsbury, just took my lure rod, blanked Sad

and another short carp trip, weekend just gone, and my word the wind was strong 2 ft waves on the lake lol anyway did land a nice 17lb mirror and another mirror about 11lb

Went to target the resident perch in a local pond with red maggots and a tub full of worms.

Got a half pound roach.

A very small perch that was no longer than the worms (greedy bugger!)

And then...........

a 3 and a half pound Shocked

Where were the large perch that I've seen in there? scratch

They obviously don't like me Crying or Very sad

last time i targeted perch on the canal all i got was 6 perch no longer than 4" and a 1lb 4oz roach Question

Definitely, bazz. I thought I was gonna lose it in the weed beds a few times.

Was using a 9ft leger rod. I now know that it's got virtually a through action to it. Very Happy

I've had a carp on that didn't bend it as much as the tench did. And that weighed near on 10lb.
