Re: Benson, RIP..
There are suspicions that uncooked nuts are to blame, is it Tiger Nuts or something like that that are used & often banned?

Re: Benson, RIP..
peanuts are more often the cause of fish deaths. if human grade nuts are not used you always run the risk of the nuts being contaminated with a fungal type of growth that is invisible to the eye, its a bit like mill due. if the nuts have been kept in a damp environment (and it has only just got to be damp) then you could be in trouble. if you use peanuts please dont go for the cheap pet food ones, always buy the best, after all guys you wouldn't buy rotten dead baits would you
im sure we will find out soon what the cause of this tragedy, i only hope it has nothing to do with bait.

If bad nuts were to blame wouldn't there be a pond full of belly up carp

Read it in Anglers Mail and no indication to his death.
News At Ten had a feature on him and by the looks of things nuts may have been the cause of his demise.
Carp love tiger nuts but they must be prepared correctly and I think this is what was hinted at on the news tonight.

Well worth the rant too, Nick
Todays Sun has a piece on the Creature dying too. Makes it sound like the creature died after Benson. I guess thats not the case Nick.
