All the washers are present, they just need to be rearranged in relation to the spring.
My reels are:
Wychwood Rogue Freespin 50 for pike and carp. Cannot fault it.
Shimano Alivio 2500RB float/ledger work, lightweight spinning. New purchase, unused.
Some old DAM reel that has been neglected and thrown about, never been serviced, cleaned or oiled but never, ever let me down in the 8/9 years I've had it. Gets used for float/ledger and lightweight spinning. Being put into semi-retirement now I've got the new Shimano so may actually get cleaned and serviced now!

It's odd that you say that.
No, it isn't. It's pretty much common knowledge.
Perhaps you caught them on an 'off day' Andy?
Nope, but dozens of people have had 'off days'
Or I caught them on a 'good day'![]()
Possibly but once doesn't make it a standard. Most folk send their Shimanos to Mikes reel repair because they can't make headway with Shimano's aftersales dept.
For the money, I wouldn't buy one. I'd expect perfection for that kind of cash and clearly, theyre anything but.

BUT, if you had spent alot of money on a reel, and that will differ from person to person. i'd say the "Interceptor" is a good reel for the money. without being a tackle tart

Re: Reel recomendations..???
Its the same story as it is with mountain bikes. There are several huge factories in Taiwan, notably Giant & Merida are two of the biggest.
GT, Specialized, Marin, Kona bikes & most others all send a design to say...Merida, and the frames are made in Taiwan at the Merida factory, complete with finished paintwork & decals.
Okuma make a hell of a lot of the reels you buy, apart from their own excellant models, Fox Stratos being one Okuma make. A tackle dealer of repute (Tim at Matchman Supplies Nr me) told me this.
