New UK record pike (?!?) 57lb

Did anyone else have a good laugh at the article today?

Some joker reckons he's caught a 57lb pike from Oulton Hall pond...

I'd like to believe that there are some massive uncaught monsters out there...but a 57lber from Oulton Hall...

haha i know mate i bought A.T. for the exact same article!!! the best bit was the jokes nev made about it in his pike talk column

we've (members of yorkshirefishing forum) have been chatting with the baliff of the water. He insists that his words and opinions were twisted by the AT and he denies he said half of the things they reckon he did...anyway the fact is that this kid is insisting he caught this fish and it's turned into quite an interesting debate if nothing else

Personally I think whatever happens that water is going to get hammered now, to the detrement of its pike population...
