What net do you use for landing lure caught fish?
My 42" soft mesh net is a wee bit cumbersome for this job
I like the idea of a rubber lure net and have looked at these ones:

Trouble is, I cannot seem to find any details on the depth of the net.
Any help appreciated.

Ive just bought the 30" Korum Oval one & i have measured the depth for you, 26" on mine 
I have yet to use it but the Lure snares in the soft mesh Carp net have been a nightmare to remove, cost me several hooks & a few small holes are now in the net.

i bought a black mamber lefty great for lure fishing because you dont realise you have it slung over your back.
but must admit that since i was shown how to chin a pike i think that is 100% better than any net as when the lure gets tangled in the net and the pike spins and dose more damage to its self.

The 30" Korum was £19.99. Bear in mind you need to add the cost of a handle suitable for bank fishing.

i use one of these for pike fishing the weave is really good ive had pike roll with jerkbaits hanging out of there mouths and its never hard to get them out

i dont i hand land them all when i can the only time id use a net for a lure caught pike is when i couldnt reach the fish by hand. i have a marryat salmon net from france fitted with a 50 inch mesh for this purpose though, it also doubles as my boat net

I don't use a net when lure fishing, choosing instead to unhook in the water or hand land if required. When I have used a net I have found the pike will often spin in the net resulting in the hooks getting tangled and the pike getting stuck. This is a nightmare to unhook the pike. In my experience it is easier, quicker, less harmful, to do without the net. I also found that a net gets in the way of being mobile and searching the water. For anyone who is not confident with handling pike then you will be better off using a net with a rubber one being preferable due to the hooks coming out more easily. I have considered getting a rubber net but haven't as yet.

I am confident to pick a Pike up under the chin on the bank but not in the water with a lure with savage trebles in, I am afraid

I wouldn't go piking without a landing net!!!
Theres always a situation were you wont be able to get to the pike to chin it and you could be putting it at risk so its not worth going without it
I have a rubber one that i got from fishing republic for about £ 15 if i remember right its a lot better if you get a lively fish in the net as the hooks don't get caught up as much and come out a lot easier

I know what you mean Adie about there may be a time when it is needed. For this reason I am always considering where I can get easily to the waters edge in order to unhook. I have never had a problem either. Had several problems when I have used a net. I really feel that nets and lures do not go together well.

I've spent many a unhappy hour untangling lures from landing nets lol
But the rubber ones are a great improvement

I know it wasn't Adie. Anyway, I don't mind my methods being questioned. What works for one is not always best for others.

The two recent Jacks I had on lure were self unhooking, honestly! One was hooked on the edge of its eye socket, unfortunately. The second seemed squarely hooked but the hooks transfered to the soft net, unfortunately. 15mins snipping the hooks to get 'em out

I have seriously considered getting a net for lure fishing. I have the following criteria.
1. Must not smell in back of car.
2. Must not snag lure.
3. Must be able to fold down to carry on my back.
4. Must be easy to set up with one hand while playing a fish with the other hand.
Any suggestions welcome.
