Pickering war weekend

Hi we are off to Pickering camping this weekend to the war weekend Very Happy
Its brilliant !!

We are going with our motorbike & sidecar club Very Happy
This is my outfit which i've not had long i built it myself from a old wreck of a bike lol

Itsa a Honda cx650 eurosports and this is its first time out other than local rides So fingers crossed it will be ok Very Happy Very Happy

Tootall you bugger you jinxed us lol we had a great weekend and got all the way back to about 1/2 a mile from our house when BANG and the sidecar collapsed onto the wheel locking it up and pulling us in to the kerb Shocked Shocked Shocked
Luckerly we were just stopping at some traffic lights so we wern't going very fast If it had happened any sooner it could have been very serious pale pale
and yes it was the RAC that came out to recover us lol Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

You ought to get over to Normandy one day for the D Day June 6th commemorations, take the bike etc.. on the ferry from Portsmouth to Caen (Ouistreham), there are thousands of people with jeeps, bikes, big petrol engined prime movers they used to tow guns and broken down tanks, ive even seen 2 X Churchill Tanks over there! Shocked All the hotels & campsites get booked up fast, mind you. There are a decreasing number of WW2 Vets who make it over, too. Wink
