I've read a review on the 2.75lb rod and the reviewer gave them 10 out of 10 and reckons they would also make a good pike rod.

Anybody got one?

What are your thoughts on this rod?

Thanks for the reply MrMakk. That is a decent price for one of those.

But I am after a rod that will be used for carp in the warmer months and pike in the winter. I don't use massive baits nor do I fish huge waters. Hence the use of a rod that isn't too powerful (max 2.75lb TC). I also mainly use braid so the through action will be ideal for soaking up any lunges.

The RRP of the Warrior is £59.99 and I can get one for £49.94 inc postage on Ebay:

If they're anything like the original Warrior rods, they'll be excellent. I've got one of the original Warriors (3lb TC) and it's gorgeous.

Just been talking to a friend who had one of the Warriors (3lb TC) Rods, He has retired from fishing due to his health, Gave the Rod to his son, But he said there is nothing in its price range you can compare it to as it is leaps and bounds above its nearest rivals, So i have told his son, If he decides to sell it i want first dibs Very Happy

Yeah I got one a few months ago from Angling Direct with the Stratos 7000 reel + 10lb line reel for £89.99. It's a good rod, very slim and lightweight but I still prefer my Greys Prowla and Shimano baitrunner combo.

For the money it's well worth it.
