Just got myself a nice little 7ft Cortland 4 piece for leaving in the back of the car and for general lighter spinning for perch/chub etc

What do you reckon? Anyone ever used Cortland rods?

PS i won't let you know how much it was until i hear some feedback/opinion...lol

Never used the rods (handled a couple though) but I use Cortland Spectron braid and Cortland 777 fly line and I've handled a few reels, which felt really nice. I don't think they're super high-tec likie St. Croix or anything but they do make nice gear.

Go on then...how much did it set you back?

Sounds quite good. Like I say, they're not St Croix or anything too swanky but their gear is very nice.

Well it arrived today and i must say first impressions are that it looks very well made, beautifully finished in a matt green with subtle gold whippings etc and a joy to hold - weighs next to nothing.

Looking forward to getting out and using it tomorrow Cool
