Hello Everyone

Post  JP MYERS on Tue Jun 01, 2010 1:27 am

Hello,
I had just found this site earlier today.. I registered as I have enjoyed Pike fishing for about 30 years..
My home fishing territory is in the United States, The waters of Ohio to be specific..
I make my own lures, solid plastic, custom painted.. As of late, I do more luremaking and swim testing than actually fishing for fun, or that is how it seems..

Anyway, always enjoy reading about fishing and especially like to see the lures other people are making for pike or musky anywhere in the World..
JP~

Welcome onboard JP. Nice friendly site we have here. It's all good suff.

Quite a few lure men in here mate. I don't make jerkbaits and gliders so much, although I do use big lures. I don't really have the space to make them unfortunately or I would. I've made some but I'm handy at altering them, doing paintjobs, refurbs etc.

I do however, make mepps, spinners, small spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, flying condoms, jigs, shads...that kind of thing. They don't take up so much room and there's no workshop required.

Sounds great Andy, its an enjoyable hobby is it not.. I have a spare bedroom that I turned into my paint shop.. As my stuff is plastic I dont need a workshop either really.. But I do borrow my aging Father's workshop 1 day a week.. Just to cut out blanks on the scrollsaw & round off egdes of blanks on a small router.. All my painting & assembly is done at home in the spare room.. As you might guess from that statement I am a single guy!.. My 1st & 2nd wives both would have had my head for doing this stuff in the house!.
Thanks Andy, pleased to meet ya, and all the other members as well,
JP~
