Bloody good rod Makk. Whisker anything is generally good. In the 80s, Whisker was Daiwa's flagship range.

They still make Whisker rods now and although not their flagship range anymore, because times have gone on, they're still good.

Guys i am selling the rod, I don't use it anyway as I don't quivertip, i was asking the question as a price guidelines
thanks for some of the info,
I have started the listing on ebay and i have a whopping 14 watchers within a day of starting (someone is intrested lol!),

The money is going to go towards some tackle(hooks, trace wire, swivels, floats, bits 'n' bob's and another swinger) for when the new pike season starts.

i've had 2 whiskers since i started piking back in the early 90's (swapped for a single normark "gord burton piker" with my uncle). i think one's a graphite and the others a kevlar but theres no real difference between them.
i'd never sell them because for small rivers/drains with baits they're (in my eyes) unbeatable. i also use them for plugging with a fixed spool and the odd bit of large river barbelling now and again because they're only 2 1/4 lb tc.
