more than welcome guys, the only reason I need to know numbers is so I can put it on cellars that it is closed that day and a couple of signs up down the bank, so no one can moan we did'nt inform them,

theres always plenty of tea/coffee, and I'm hopeing mick will be on hand to do the brekers.!!

got a few pike anglers on today chasing the big girls, will let you know how its going.

was thinking that myself. the 30 looks a good fish, but not 30lb. the markings round the tail look the same to me which would suggest the same fish Question Question Question Question

if you look at the pectoral fin on the 20 theres a bit missing you can just make it out on the 30 maybe the lads scales were cheapo or wrong because the 30 does not look 30 to me Rolling Eyes

the 21 lb caught today had a scar near its back end not shown on photo, the 30lb caught last week was perfect and about 10ins longer!!. the guys scales were digital, a club member who was there carp fishing.the guys fish today was weighed on bas's scales which also are digital. hope that clears that up for you !!.

that is most DEFINITELY the same fish in both photos.... the markings round the tail end and the body/headshape plus the size in contrast to the angler holding it are absolutely identical.

Sorry but yep i have to agree...that is the same fish.
zoom in on and you can see the split pec fin om the '30'
also the markings along the back and around the tail area are identical...

Ok i have to agree they do both look the same
Bas and Sue say that the members that weighed and witnessed it say it was 30lb so thats all they have to go on and end of the day even if its the same fish 20 oddlb or 30lb its still a nice fish and they do have some huge pike in there !
The lake record is 32lb and theres goldtop as well Very Happy
All worth a go at in anyones book Wink

Please lets not let this get into dispute this is supposed to be a fish-in thread lol
And what good would it do anyway
You've given your opinion and i respect you all as good pike fisherman and at the end of the day if you think it / they are the same fish no one is going to change your minds are they and i'm not going to try Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

So can we please get back to the fish-in lol! lol!

Maybe we should go and see if we can catch it / them and prove or disprove it cheers
