Hi everyone

I am thinking of getting some titanium wire for deadbait rigs?

What are your thoughts on the types available and how do you rig it up?

Thanks Deadbait.

Did you find that the ti wire kinked or does it last forever as it is sometimes sold.

no it wont kink at all its a learning curve the first time you use it the esox stuff streches under pressure and can slip through the crimps my advice is make up you traces and test each one before using them i used small split rings to attach my hooks so i could change them when they go blunt my ti jerkbait trace has been on for over six months and has trolled miles been through trees and allsorts and is still straight as Very Happy

it sounds good. Noodle, you don't use it widely. Any reason? Dead bait, how do you attach the top treble?

i used to slide a crimp on the trace then get a small length of the wire and make a loop for the top treble and crimp it all down if you know what i mean

So the loop is a separate piece of wire then?

Can you fold the trace over on itself a couple of times to make the loop or will this weaken the wire?
