cheers jeff not orderd them yet im going for the 10ft 3lb prowla boat rods i think they will be perfect for my type of fishing on river and from the boat

they sound purpose made.
a mate of mine has a pair of Greys for Barbel, he kisses them after every fish

if you get the prowla platinum one there about £110 im looking at the new prowla gs one they work out at about £65 each not that bad really for a greys rod

love my greys rods,ive got some in 2.75 tc,ideal for most of my fishing plus berkley b1,s 3.5 tc for other fishing

Yes, I think it may have something to do with the colouring process. Maybe it weakens the line perhaps

Personally I would not go above 2.5lb anything bigger would be used as a bass rod too.

yeah thats what i was thinking..... i really want a rod which can do EVERYTHING from drain fishing to casting baits sardine size 60-80yrds on ressies / lakes....
ive tried casting LARGE lives and even dead jacks a short distance with my 2:75's and the rod was well over loaded.

3-3.25lb TC should cover it. Wychwood do a nice range.

The waters I fish suit my rods but agree a bit of poke would be ideal for distance or broads fishing

Right guy's, santa(mrs) has brought me 2 12ft daiwa black widow 2 3/4 tc carp rods
I was just wondering if anyone has used them before, i know daiwa do some cracking match/pleasure gear, i'm just not sure on their carp stuff, they feel well balanced, but it's going to be afew days/week before i get to use them,

i've Heard some cracking stuff about the daiwa Black widows......... (real value for money etc.)
