With a lip that long and at that angle, it'll be digging up the bottom at a considerable depth. Might just be ideal for this time of year.

Wychwood Lure Lugger.....can fit a surprising amount of lures in one, if you put 2 - 3 lures in each compartment. Very well made bit of kit. I've had mine for about 6 years maybe and it's still in good nick.

PS: It's not for big jerkbaits. I can get a medium Salmo Slider in but nothing broader.

It's more for minnowbaits, alphabet lures, spoons, small spinnerbaits, spinners, small crankbaits....that kind of thing.

Yea the boxes come with it. I suppose it depends on how many lures you intend to pack. I must have around 100+ in the Lure Lugger (I have a lot of spinners and grubs in mind though). The Rover might suit if you're somewhat less bonkers than I am and only intend to have 20-30 ish lures of that size.

The Wychwood Extremis has 5 boxes, which might suit you better. I'd be a little worried about the Rover, in case you get the lure bug. While it's not full, you could put your other tackle in the boxes you haven't filled yet.

You can also get identical boxes from tackle shops from time to time. I have a few spares so I can choose which lures or tackle I want to take in the bag. Chop and change and all that.

That's the one but I wouldn't be paying that for it. You can get the Lure Lugger for that kind of money.

Can't remember what the ones I have are called but they just have a smaller lip. Same length and profile though.

Has anyone tried one with the lip removed yet??

I'm curious to see if anyone has been brave enough to 'ruin' a prized lure.

If you have, how did you get on??
