What a piece of tat!! Complicated, doesn't fit my banksticks, has to move FEET to drop off or you have to clear the line yourself, too many parts. Not very good I don't think. Imagine faffing around with it in the dark.

I'm looking at another indicator for my other rod and reel, originally i'd set up to where the freespool run is on with my shimano. and an open bail arm for the other........

kind of agree having played with them on the bank not much use for me where pike are concerned, for eels well ill follow woodys example, zander well tnt is about right for those
drop offs do more or less the same job ok maybe they are not quite as sensitive if you want to fish to show a run, but lets face it drop offs were never meant to do that anyway
thats why they are called drop offs the clue is in the name

No but after watching the inventor on the video, I think I'll pass. My Mum could knock up better.

Re: Zandavan swinger indecator
lol i already came up with a better solution last time i was out.... a fox pike swinger with the line clip set fully open (i'm talking about the version with the steel ball clip) and vertical so that the line just pulls free with the very least force..... and yet it sits perfectly just down from the horizontal when set (and doesnt accidentally pull out with high winds either due to the downforce on the line created by the sliding weight). it works pretty much on the same principal as the zandavan..... just cast out the ledger rig, wind the line so its halfway (but not all the way) to tight then sit the indicator on the line and just twist the spool to set the indicator.
i'll try and get a photo next time i'm using it to show you guys exactly what i mean
