Most areas of the Ribble are members only, If you are a club member all well and good, But the lads who fish the Ribble a lot should be able to tell you where the day ticket places are and where to get one Very Happy

PIKE ON THE RIVER

Post  THETRUEPIKER on Tue Jan 18, 2011 9:51 pm

Hi.I do alot on the river. All baits work well just be carefull the river bed is very snaggy in most places. you need to look for the big pools that are all over the river. What part are you looking at going on,There are some very big fish in the river but they are very tricky.Just be aware if you have not fished the river much, keep your eye on the weather the river will come up around in blink of an eye.It is a dangerous river in the winter.JUST BECAREFULL..
Hope you have good luck on the river..THETRUEPIKER!!!! Very Happy

Our Club the S & DAA Has one of the deepest parts of the Ribble at Church Deeps, But its Members only, Lots of new timbered Pegs to use for safety, Strange thing is, There is only a hand full of fishermen that fish it, And there have been some real crackers come out of there, Very Happy
