I see a "whos catching" thread, but not a "whos going fishing" thread (unless ive missed it)

im out thursday and friday at my private lake and then again saturday with a mate off another forum fenland piking.

out this after with lures. then friday if i can move a job forward to today then the saterday bash with some of the lads from here.
our lass is working sunday so you've guessed it.
and i will chuck a cheeky monday in and see if i can blank all the way lol

Off out on Friday to the local reservoir.
Might take the pike rods along and lob some deadbait out (sardines from the Chinese supermarket) popped up and see if I can get a run .
Not holding breath though.
Got the feeder rods ready instead for some Roach & Perch. That way I might actually get a bite...lol.

been on a big water today 3 runs 2 fish one a biggi 50% still iced over

yeh mate ive have some amazing sessions when its been freezing and snowing you just have to slow it all right down before xmas it was -5 and i out fished 4 deadbait rods by 3 fish to my mind a hungry feeding pike will take a lure in any weather just like it will a live bait dont get me wrong some days they just wont have it

I don't mind so much with my light setup because that's only got a 5601 on it and I throw wee stuff around, like Terminators and minnowbaits with it. I can just about work that without 'palming' the reel but with the heavier setup, it's just not an option. No control unless you 'palm' the reel and the side-plate is just cold. You'd have thought the Swedes would have comes up with a furry side-plate or one made from plstic or something?? Surely they suffer from cold multis more than we do?
