I tried Bluey's

for the first time this week and I love them. I cut them in half which released loads of blood. I'm definitely using them more in the future. Had a few runs on them too.

Anyone else tried them?

Was the Blueys from under the counter Andy, Lol

Not tried them yet But i do know they work well at Cellars
Might have to give them a go soon

Yes - I love them mate - I think everytime i've used them so far i've had takes/fish = always in the bait bag now

had fish on them andy first time on the hooks good bait head and tails

Had seven runs in two sessions. Swapped a bluey for a mackerel that had been out for 4 hours and it went in 5 minutes. An hour later I had three runs to the same rod in 15 minutes and all on blueys. Next session I had three runs in an hour and ran out of them. They were about a fiver for 5 blueys. Cut in half I got 10 baits at 50 each. Good value for the runs I got on them.

not tried them myself nor seen them are they a big bait then ?

Five fish. I got the bait back on one occasion with a tiny jacj pike shaped mouth bite that missed the hooks. Recast it and it went again straight away, and I mean straight away, and it was a sixteen pounder.

They are very silvery and have a similar flesh to the herring. The spine is tough to put a hook into, but I also found that the tail snaps quite easily. Although that is due to them being too long for my bait bag. I tried to bend them in while still frozen.

I always get mine and cut them in half while still frozen before wrapping back up in cling film individually

sound advice tootall. I can't see me needing to use them whole. I'll do that in future.

I can't buy a run on them. Don't ask me why but they look awesome and they're super oily. I think it's just the day's I've tried them.

i've been tempted to try them before but never got round to it.... might give them a whirl next season
