Cork handled carp rods Empty Cork handled carp rods

Post  Alex Makk on Sat Mar 12, 2011 9:00 pm

Okay may be an odd topic,

Read a magazine today and noticed cork handled carp rods,

I never knew that carp rods can have cork handles, i always thought that they were that duplon (black foam stuff) even with the top end blanks like harrisons,

and if i remember correct (rummages through paper rack) the rods are 'fox warrior 's' full cork 2.75lb

The Fox Euro Warriors look great rods for the cash Smile

I like the fact more people are reverting back to cork.

Dunno about that. It was '91 mind, not '71. The last 20 years have passed awfully quick mind you. I can barely believe it myself. We're getting older more quickly it seems.

I'd prefer my all rods to have cork handles. Duplon is just so awful.

I don't mind the X-weave stuff on the original Warriors though. That's a pretty unusual example though.

I've got Euro Warriors mate. They are better than the new Warriors in my opinion. Better looking and better reel seat. Infact, someone is selling a pair on NCFF pal Wink

I got mine for £62 each about 3 years ago and the handles just get better with age Very Happy

Lovely rods for the price IMO. They are the original Warrior Euro, not the new 's' version, which personally i think is inferior. Infact i think all the new warrior range is inferior to previous models.
