elasticated Flatbedded method feeders

Post  cavemandom on Sat May 21, 2011 5:52 pm

I have gone and bouught a set of the Dinsmore elasticated flatbed method feeders with the mould, wieght ranging from 24gr to 45gr, I bought them with the intention of using them to give me a little give on the strike, but after using them i'v realised that when i get a bite my quarry needs to to take my hook bait with some decent force to register a take on my feeder rod, the fish needs to take the bait with the force to take the stretch out of the elastic then litterally move the wieght of the feeder itself, if the feeder as sunk into silt or ias settled on gravel on anything than an even parralell the chances of a bite registering is very very minimal, is there anything i can do to salvage these feeders, other wise they're near dammened useless for the use i need them for,, can i make them in-line, thier is obviousley away to adapt them so as anyone got any suggestions, i have a few ideas myself but i thought some of you guys might have a easier solution to this problem than the ideas i'v been running over in my head, i'll put a link to the exact feeders i'm reffering to underneath, thanks chaps The Caveman

These are not the Dinsmore ones I have , but they are exactly the same in the way they are made up, again thanks lads...

If presumably you're using them with a bolt-rig/hair then there's no reason to want for indication, since you should be sitting on your hands waiting for a positive hookup anyway.
