Forum fish-ins
Hi everyone
I'm sure you'd all like to get together for a fish-in or two again this year. Hopefully we can actually catch something.
Can we have some suggestions for venues again either on here or via pm. Day ticket waters are ideal or a club venue if the club will allow it. We could try the Warping Drain again, if it can be arranged with SPAC. A bit earlier in the season would be good (it was frozen last year...but name somewhere that wasn't?).
I look forward to hearing your suggestions.
Andy

I know all the waters mentioned and would be interested if commitments permit. I have often thought about Trentside, never been but would love to give it a go.

Andy I fish a water just outside of Lincoln that we could hold a fish in, it holds some decent fish and does not get too much pressure

How about the Chesterfield Canal? Never fished it but often fancied it.
Or the A1 Pits?

Re: Forum fish-ins
How many fish-ins do you want?
I was guessing on six. One per month from October to March.
Maybe if we go for the 2nd Sunday.
That would give us:
09 October
13 November
11 December
08 January
12 February
11 March (last weekend of river season - folks might want to fish their own spots so we could change to 18th on a lake)
Is that too many, just right or not enough.
We could always squeeze an extra one in over xmas.

Re: Forum fish-ins
if your still looking for a venue then how about one in the midlands that everyone has a chance of getting to. http://www.celticlakesresortfrisby.co.uk/contact.html# is nice and central and has a cafe and toilets and a website etc. I havent actually been there yet but I am going on thursday and will do a write up with some pics if you like.
