Leader when using braid Empty Leader when using braid

Just wondering on your thoughts for and against using a leader of say mono or flourocarbon when ledgering with braid.
I currently run braid onto the trace without a leader but does the braid be visible to wary pike and put them off?
Is there a case for using a length of flourocarbon or does it just provide a potential weak spot in the knot?

Braid doesn't put them off and there's no need for a leader.

I suppose if the water is snaggy, then there could be a reason for a leader but then I'd suggest just using mono all the way through.

Braid to mono knots are open to conjecture and experience but standards are Albright knots, Uni-Uni knots.

The albright is a great knot but i have only ever used it with both lines being Mono, Dont know how i would feel if i had to depend on it for a mono braid coupling

I've never used a leader with braid and have never felt the need to. You should be fine without.
