heated socks
all you need is a pair of Skeetex snow boots. ive had these for years and never once suffered with cold feet / toes, even when fishing from a boat (where you obviously cant move around much ) in a snow blizzard and minus 7 !! absolutely brilliant they are.
bit weird to look at as they fit either foot. fleecy lined. go get some buddy, you wont be disappointed !

Re: Heated socks
I know people take the puss about using heated socks/gloves etc, but not everybody has built in central heating.
The first thing on me to feel the cold is my hands and they go a light purple colour and start stiffening up at the slightest hint of cold unless I try to keep them warm. Having my hands in my pockets doesn't always work so I have to resort to gloves. I've been wearing gloves at work for the past few weeks and I work indoors
On my feet I wear 2 pairs of socks when out fishing in Winter and would love a pair of heated socks but can't justify the price when I already have a way to keep my feet warm by wearing a couple of pairs of wool socks and a pair of Regatta hiking boots. I should imagine the batteries would run out at the very worst possible time. Well, for me they would
Oh BTW, making insoles out of carpet is a good way of helping keep your feet warm. Tip courtesy of Andy Macfarlane.
