well leebob, i too am looking at a new shelter. i asked here on reviews if anyone has got the 2 rib jrc sti brolly 2012 model, but no replies as yet.

i have looked at all the others, fox fx oval, but i think the JRC STI brolly ( more of a bivvy ) 2rib is superb. no inner metal ribs to get in the way like an oval brolly.

have a look and see what ya think. more room than an oval, but smidge longer to put up maybe ( couple mins more i reckon ). price, you can get one for 130. ( they are selling the old 3 rib one for 95, so make sure you look at right one ), and you can also but a wrap to make into a covered bivvy. (look on youtube, the guy does a demonstration on the sti ).

if not, i would go for the fox fx. ive always bought fox stuff and it is superb quality and lasts forever...........almost.

let us know what you decide.

hope this helps. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Doesn't come with storm poles ( 2 big middle ones ) it does have 2 small side ones but you can get them cheap enough off ebay they also do the winter over wrap for it as well Wink

have a look on climax tackle site they got some decent shelters on there for under 100.i personally bought a badger oaklands shelter with 4 storm sticks, groundsheet, full zip on front and pegs for 49.99 its ideal for day sessions and ive also used it overnight in pegs where my 2 man bivvy(jrc sti) wont fit and still got my bedchair (diawa infinity deluxe)flat out with room to spare

i have the trakker and it is a very good bit of kit 1 complaint with mine is the catch can release all of a sudden but you just put in the screw cap and it's fine.
used the bivvy and it fits my gear and bed chair a treat

rendeer Cheers guy for the advise its a minefield init Exclamation, theres that many out there that look good and i'm abit scepticle though about buying one for the 50-60 mark coz i would like it to last me a good while and its bound to take a few knocks so i dont mind spending the extra on a brolly system
As i said in my other posts its a blooming nightmare affraid lol!
