my modified pod for hard ground

Oh blow. Not a bad idea. Ive just sold my fox pod to my m8 and brought the nash h gun 2 rod pod cause i couldnt find one out there apart from this that held the pike swingers directly behind the reel as you need them to be.
I can see a Patent application going on Stubbo !

i've been doing the same thing when using my pod except i just use a rear buzzer bar off a goalpost setup with 2 really short banksticks under the ends.... works a treat
