Do you use them?
Do you think they have any attraction properties?

ive got some from the front of a recent magazine, they are still in my box in case i feel the need to try one. I dont think they matter all that much, perhaps if you were wobbling a deadbait they might help but im not totally convinced.

i like them on softer baits but purely from the point of view that they help to stop the bait from flying off. don't really think the visual thing is as important.

Bait flags Empty bait flags

Post  doug6364 on Sun Jan 15, 2012 5:24 pm

Ive just started using them at end of last year when i started up piking again.

I think it gives the pike a little something extra to hone in on. Every bait goes out with a flag on each treble.

Ive just had 4 blanks in a row, so does it produce more pike ? I think not, but i do like to be a bit different when fishing !! It may work better on a pressured water, something a bit different than the pike are used to.

Reckon you would get more success if you use them with Livvies. Dont know for sure, but who knows hey ??

Ive always caught loads of quality pike over the years and previously never used anything like that.

That's probably the best way to enhance any bait !

I've tried all sorts of bait "enhancers" over the years too, and the trouble is, you'll never really know if the bait would have been taken any way, had you not been using them. If anything they may only inspire a bit of confidence for some people.

yes your right they dnt produce more pike or takes its another gimick to get your money out!!! a friend of mine uses them on a pressured water we both fish, the bait tags have produced him one fish to my 4 over same sessions so i dnt believe them to be any good on pressured waters either just a gimick or like madpiker says only good to find your trebbles in the dark
dont use them for pike but i do use them for my bass fishing just so i dont lose my bait ie large sandeels my mate dos,nt use them and i catch the most might be some thing in it

Use bait flags all the time on the Rivers where the bait has some movement. Caught plenty of fish with them on............. but used to catch fish before using them.
It's all about confidence in the rigs you're using.
