Hi guys, just registered so hello to you all.
Much to my suprise my mrs has booked us a week next to loch Awe, result I thought "would you mind if I took a rod (or two)" Anyway, I'm not going to get any long sessions in so I was wondering if anyone knows of a half decent guide in the area for a day or so in a boat? I may be able to get a little bank fishing in but I'll be on the SW side (furthest away from the castle). If any one wants to trade info on southern waters i.e royalty, wye, blenheim etc. I'll tell you what I can.
Anyway I'll have a troll through the threads and see if can contribute at all. How are people finding the weather? I'm planning a trip to a local river (whats the naming policies on here) for Wednesday. temperature is dropping and dropping!
Would be good to hear some feed back, tight lines!

Welcome to the site buddy.
Sorry no help from me it"s way out of my neck of the woods.
Most of the site rules you can find in the announcements section.
My next trip will be Thrs on theWarks Avon as with heavy frosts forecast there will probably be a lid on most of my usual stillwaters.
Just join in and enjoy the site.
Regards Peter. Cool

Thanks for the reply Hurricane,
You're in west midlands, do you get across to the Wye? I was down there a couple of weeks a =go but the water was belting through and a nice shade of dairy milk! you know it's gonna be a bad day when you see trees floating by!
Thinking about getting out on the Bristol Avon this week, bit bloody chilly for it though!

Try not to travel further than about 30miles for day sessions in the winter, not enough daylight hours to make it worthwhile.
Some of the lads from my local PAC do well on the Wye but you need to put the effort in.
There"s a bit of colour in the local rivers at the moment so hoping for a result this week, the forecast for wed night is -5 so it will be crunchy under foot thrs,a proper pikers dawn.
