Frozen over? Still water or a flowing river?

Good luck tommorow mate,, minus 14 today,up the hills, stuck it for a bit, no takes, only me fishing, most of the swins i fish were frozern, i had a deadbait out, and the line was freezing to the rings on the rod. only went out to try a few lures, pleased with the action on the lures, just a shame i didn't hit a fish..started snowing at around lunch-time, time to pack up, the hills not the place to be stuck when it's snowing.

I won"t be out but not because of the snow,I only fish weekdays.
Had a few in the snow but not a biggie, would like a nice pic of one for my calendar.

River piking is the only piking I feel confident in doing
Can't see the point of still water piking, I like the enjoyment of roaming about and finds good swims and features.
I'll be river fishing tomorrow

I'll be out Monday and hopefully Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully no work comes in in the mean time!
Rivers are easlier as you can GENERALLY gauge where the fish will be! 80 acres of still water hmmmm... where do I start

We were out Friday a lot of the lakes are frozen over. The big lakes are still ice free but just only had one jack.

Snowed under with work (pun intended!) so not been out for a couple of weeks now.
Wish I was out though, but I have realised just how much I miss my 4x4 this time of year.
Normally i would have just shrugged off a bit of snow and ice, hopped in the truck and gone off to fish in some back-of-beyond place no one knows about knowing i'd be alright. Now though it's a different story, and I have to think really carefully about where i'm going and how i'm going to get there in these conditions as my zafira just isn't up to going down the sorts of tracks i used to.
