Titanium wire?

Post  LewisJ on Sun Feb 26, 2012 7:08 pm

Just read an article by Myles Gascoyne on lure fishing in the Total course fishing published 'Total predator fishing' page 105 for those who bought it.

He claims that Titanium traces they don't kink, anyone used them? Might be me being thick but I can't say I've seen them in any tackle shops.

No they don't fella. And if you like to keep your lures I'd recommend you get some.. Cos, they are by far the best bit of kit you'l need when fishing with lures.. That's my view on them. Others may have a different view.

I use Ti for most of my lure fishing and all of my bait fishing now. It's expensive though and if you think there's a chance you might be losing the odd lure you might want to stick with steel.

i only use titanium traces for all my lure fishing - i have not had one fail yet (touch wood) i would never got back to steel now. the days of kinking (and breaking) steel are long gone for me! they actually work out cheaper if you consider how long they last.
