Allright Folks,

Have any of you used or use weedless hooks on ur lures? Been thinking about putting some on the sinkers but not rate sure if their any good.

Cheers, Chumley

hi CW
95% of my lures have weed-guards on, i used to use stiff wire but after a while they rust and break off. so i now use 30/50lb sea mono, there brill now. and i chuck them on banks, trees rushes and lillies (intentionally) thats where the pike lurk.

Do these work as "Netless hooks" as well? Everytime ive hooked & landed a Pike (ER...three times in 40yrs Rolling Eyes ) i have ALWAYS managed to spend ages removing the Trebles from the net ..eek! Always seem to hook the fish in its mouth with bottom Treble, with top one tangled in the net!! No

I have now gone onto semi barbless Fox ones....the ones with two barb free & one barbed to stick into the bait. A double sounds good & a single when i find out how to rig/bait it Wink

It does look like singles may be the way to go.. I keep reading in the AT how more & more people are using them. Barbed or barbless? chaps..

bazz , buy barbed and crush barb down, they are usually cheaper, its because production is harder to produce hooks without barbs(sounds daft but its true)
