i prefer analogue scales. imagin if you landed the fish of a lifetime and when you went to weigh it the batteries gave up? you'd be devastated. Wink

i have the fox ones and i have had a problem with them but i sent £30 i think with them to fox and they could not repair them so sent out a brand new pair ( bonus ) wonder if you bought a knackered pair and sent them away just thinking aloud.
I always use digitals because they are bang acurate and it is difficult to see which mark analogue are on .
anolouge are only good for people who like to add on weight as far as i am concerened and i have seen it done by some who should know better ?
nickycarp and rozzos neddle seems to be bent slightly right anyway that gives six ounce on a fish, bet nick could catch a half pound gudgeon lol affraid

ha ha the digital scales save the highest weight recorded each lift so if a 15lb big girl shakes her head in the sling she could peak out at 30 Rolling Eyes
makes you wonder how many digi-weighed twenties are genuine Evil or Very Mad

More than crap analogue just look how all the ( supposedly top anglers use them all fiddling there wieght )

Leaving lures in the pikes gobs just to get a few extra grams, saying no need to zero scales I'm using same net as last time all bull ,
At least with digitals you have to zero every time but you will never see top anglers using them too dishonest

Laughing Laughing I don't know where you got that idea, the scales wont give a reading at all until the fish has stopped kicking and they're steady. As for batteries running out well the clever thing, if you can do it, is to get all your appliances working off one type of battery and then carry one spare set. I have my scales, head torch, camera remote and radio all working off AAA batteries, one spare set sees me right.

Got these scales and love them they weigh up to 35lb in 1/8oz increments.
Accuracte to 1/10 of 1% and readings can also be read from both sides of the face of the scale.

being a fitter in a previous life i trust all things mechanical. being a 60's child tho i don't trust anything with electrickery and black magic inside. so i will be analogue till i die i tell thee Twisted Evil
(the 60's reference means i went through school before computers and calculators)
