whats the best deadbait for you?which one would you not leave home without?mines got to be a 6"roach.usually works best for me

Small Mackerel so far, nothing out on a Smelt yet but a couple of runs. I find the small 7" long Mackerel do tend to break up quite easily, myself. Maybe a half Mackerel would be more durable?
