ok guys, so which brand of treble hooks do you use?

I've always used the Fox Predator brand but they are getting a bit pricey?
Are there any good alternatives?

I used to use drennan all the time then changed to fox not sure why, but last week as I pushed one into a deadbait it snapped, so not sure about buying fox again

depends, I like tebles to be fairly soft I've not much use for these brittle new things from trendy companies, if it was purely for bait fishing I would use eagle claw 374's I think the ones I use are, and any of the bronze vmc's cand drennan trebles

I primarily use the Fox ones too. Very strong and never had one open out on me. I also like the red VMC's.

One brand i would not buy again are the savage gear ones as i have had several of them either open up on me or had one of the trebbles actually snap off resulting in lost fish. One of which would definately have been a PB.

If those are the ones in a yellow packet that a lot of shops have in on pike boards, I was reliably informed they are vmc hooks

the savage hooks are incredibly sharp on the same level as fox but not had any problems with them yet ...you might of had a bad batch pal .....but if you lost a good fish on them it would put you off buying them again same here Suspect

I believe they did have a yellow label but I was sure they were packaged by Angler's Rendezvous themselves but I could be wrong. I know the ones I have have banked shedloads of doubles and a few 20s and they stand up to a fair amount of abuse. One 20 twisted one of the trebles right out of shape but it didn't break and still held on.
