Some people will eat anything...
I don't think I could eat Pike even if it had been farmed especially for eating. (If it is possible to farm)

The Fish monger in the Covered market in Oxford usually has a few small carp for sale.
Just about the only thing I will eat that comes out of freshwater is a boiled egg.

Re: doncaster fish market
I Have also been doen to Donny market MADBAD and was amazed at the size of the roach they were selling, as i approached the fishmonger and challenged him he stated that they were also from a fish farm in Denmark, all of the fish were well over 2lb. The same guy was also selling bream around 4-5lb. the guy informed me that the chinease love the bream and roach and buy them by the bag load. Personally i think it stinks and is it advertising for taking them from our waters. the whole system is wrong, and to see a pike in there is disgusting

Re: doncaster fish market
it does give the impression to the public that all fish are fair game if they,re seen on market stalls, what I hate is seeing 10 inch farmed bass in tescos because when numpty,s catch schoolies in the summer they think it,s ok to take them at that size

khv or svc are not transferable by roach only carp and inert things like nets which are kept damp, which is why the only threat to carp and the restrictions on moving fish are somewhat incongruous.
besides they were for waters where there are not many if any carp in em
