Tried again today! My nearest local lake frozen, an area was clear but as there are hundreds of ducks, etc. on this water, I decided not to fish it. Next venue nearby also icebound, as was another water a few miles away. I eventually fished a section of canal with spinners but the only thing I got was numb fingers, etc!

I'm thinking of a few sea-fishing sessions. I've got all the gear so I just need bait. I don't see me pike fishing any time soon and I might be able to collect some sea-deads in the process. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
