Are they any good? Ive not had a chance to give em a go.
I dare you to type Abu Jointed Terminator, Andy Macfarlane and favourite lures or searches to that effect into Google and I bet my arse you'll find it listed somewhere as one of my all-time favourite lures....
Brilliant lures mate. Very often the first lure out of my box. I have 3 and a vast collection of similar jointed minnow-baits.
Go on....I dare you. Would I lie???
Cast them and just wiggle the rod tip while taking up slack and wait for the pike to whack 'em. Just change the hooks and hangers. Some were a wee bit naff depending on the age. I put Wolverine rings and size 4 VMC hooks on mine.
Aw man, you're in for so much fun. I promise. If it doesn't rate in your top 5 lures by the end of Summer, I'll eat them both with the hooks on. How's that for a challenge??

Re: Favourite Lures
Just get them dancing so you're basically taking up slack. You don't want them coming home in any kind of hurry at all. It's not about speed. Get yer rod tip going so the lure is jiggling it's wee heart out. There's literally no technique in them to learn. Just put them in the right area, give it a good jab at first to get it down a foot or so and then start dancin' to yer favourite tunes....

Amatuer...lol...
I doubt it has anything to do with the way you're fishing them Greg. I reckon the pike you've been aiming for have other ideas and that's all it is. You'll probably try it on another venue one day and it'll mop up when no other lure seems to be doing much of anything.
The Terminator will have it's day....honest....

very good search lures for me they dont catch a lot but they find fish just whelp em out and crank em back
to catch on them i suppose a more erratic retrieve would work better

Re: Favourite Lures
Look for the Kalium bottles. They're like £2.50 from tackle shops and they last for months. You only need like 1ml for each bait.

Click HERE for Kalium bait additives
At the moment they only have Tutti-Frutti but I'm sure if you phone them and ask if they'll have the aniseed in any time soon, they'll keep your right.

I've sent a query to that firm to see if they can get the aniseed in for us. I'm running very low myself.
