Broadband contract Empty Broadband contract

Post  Lefty on Fri Feb 20, 2009 7:52 pm

Hi there boys n girls.

It is with regret that I have to inform you that I may be out of touch with you lot for a little while.

I exaggerate on the 'may' because I can't say for certain. (see last sentence)

My broadband contract ends on the 24th of this month and I won't be renewing it with my present supplier and I can't really afford to get another supplier for the time being. This will change as soon as I or my missus gets another job.

All is not lost though. My phone can browse the interweb so I can check in now and then and even post messages. It all depends on how much credit I have at the time.

Have you thought about trading one of your arms in Lefty?

I'd rather that than no internet.

dont know if its any good to you or not lefty but i got virgin tv, phone, and broadband , worked out at around £35 monthly i then phoned them and told them i was cancelling and going to talk talk as they offered a better deal , they ended up giving me tv,broadband, free calls to any british landline 24 hrs a day , all for £21 monthly , and supposedly all virgin broadband customers will be upgraded soon,

Haha, I could do but then wouldn't it be a little difficult to fish? scratch

Been looking around different suppliers and Tiscali have a package that would probably suit me. Unlimited broadband (need it cos my eldest is never off the web) and a good package deal for the phone too. Just need to make sure my finances can cope with the £20 a month.

Gonna check some others out but this is the best to suit me so far.

Yeah, our lass finished her job so It would be ok for me to go to Perth. She was only part time and couldn't stand the place anyway Very Happy

The contract ended 19th December and I haven't been able to find anything else since.

It really sucks being on the dole. This is only the second time since I left school and it's been the longest I've been without employment.

I have a condition called Schmorl's Nodes which affects the spine. This in no way affects my ability to work but if I overdo it, it causes me pain. Conversely, doing nothing also sets it off (how weird is that?) so I am currently in a fair bit of discomfort with 'toothache' in my lower back.

I need a job to make it go away Sad

Thanx for the support lads.

A new pb today has cheered me up no end.

Looks like being Tiscali but they won't let me get set up until my present contract has ended so gonna be offline for maybe a fortnight.

"I'll be back!"

I back on line peeps!! Very Happy

Ended up going with PlusNet.

No, I haven't heard of them either.

They were the only ones who could give me a deal I can afford that includes line rental and a phone package deal.

Whenever I enquired at all the other deals I could find I was told I couldn't be offered the "El Cheapo, all singing and dancing mega deal" because I was outside of the designated area or not on the appropriate exchange. Suspect

Probably bull$h17 if you ask me.

Anyway I'm back, so HIYA.
