Lots of waters in Ireland are dark and peat stained so the markings are washed out and very dull.

But the fish from the limestone loughs with crystal clear water are much more vividly marked and as stunning to look at as your fish Very Happy

Not always, but mostly thats the way.

A few of us did a weekend in North Yorkshire, I had 3 low doubles including the one below. . . But the only big girl I was likely to see was Imogen...... Storm Imogen that is ! So I only did the 2 nights not 3 , I bottled it 😀 The 3 lads that stayed into Monday did slightly better and got their rewards for staying catching a jack, a 13 and a 14 . I'm out a couple of times in the next day or two so keep you all posted . Cheers craig .

Beautifully marked fish Adie , well done mate . Today I had a glorious blank . The river was between 6 and 10 foot up although it did go down 3 or 4 inch during the day ..... Later in the week perhaps !
I'm sure it will produce soon , some lucky man will have a field day .

They are some incredible marked fish coming out at the moment,  well done lads.  Do you think they are in peak condition ready for spawning ?  I had a day afloat today,  drifting with deads and casting lures.  I had a 6lb,  12lb  missed one and a 19lb 3oz beauty Very Happy Very Happy    I have the video too as She took the bait with the waterwolf camera on lol.  Still need a 20 on camera but very close bounce

During the short fight theres the tail of another large Pike comes into view, it must have been attracted to the commotion, or they followed the bait together????

Great fish Andy , it looks almost a metallic silver colour in the sunlight . It looks solid as well . In top condition. The lateral line stands out all along the flank aswell. The roach have no chance 😀

Great looking fish there Andy, I love watching the under water action
I was out on Friday, I've never seen the river as coloured as it was, there was also a large pull on it, so I thought I  was going to struggle, and I did.
When I lost one at the net in the late afternoon I thought I'd missed my one and only chance.  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad
Half an hour later I got an 8lber from the margin.  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy
Just goes to show never give up hope.

First session on new water
Had 7 folowers of witch I convinced 2 to bite
First one was big but managed to free itself due to careful take and ferocious head shaking
The second i got in but was significantly smaller

Nevertheless good day out lots of action and a promising water
(One of the folowers was 110cm all day long or as you would put it a 20)
