Livebaiting Help/Advice or any tips..?

Just taken up Livebaiting with Roach (about 3-4” inch long) on a canal and river, specifically around Float fishing and was wondering what people can advise with regard to set up and also hooking the Livebait (2xTreble or Single Hooks).

Been 3 times and blanked so just to get an idea if there’s anything I’ve missed or anything I can do differently…? or that you recommend I try? or oils?

On baits that small,use a single treble trace and lip hook em.if you have none,clip a treble on a spinning trace(18inch)just underarm cast em😉
