Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I've been fly fishing for trout for a while but moving on to flying for Pike. I'd been keen to meet up with anyone close enough to learn more and hit some pike!

Where are you from

Originally from zim but been here for the last 16 years. I normally do a few overseas trips for kayak fishing but now looking to get stuck into what I have local. Flying for pike is the kick now but yet to get a hook up. I fished the Royalty a few times and fust getting used up for the faster deep waters to try get down to the fish. I'll be putting a poly sink leader on next time to try hit the depth and see how it goes.

Welcome mate, I'm new here too and am finding it a very helpful and friendly forum so I'm sure you will enjoy it. I'm not far from you, just over the border in Wiltshire. I mainly fly fish for them too but then I guess we are quite lucky having very clear chalkstreams on our doorstep certainly improves the fly fishing sport. I work with a zimbo, he always talks of fishing for tigers which is something I'd love to do, I'm sure you know all about them. We should meet up at some point for s fly fishing session, there are plenty of good waters between where you live and I live.

Yes indeed some good fishing but I bet he's not hit any pike yet... I'd be keen for a meet up and fish and explore the waters. I'll pm you my details. Thanks mate!
