think I was catching little perch from a farm pond that we used to sneak on...... on our hands and knees through the corn field , we got chased off by the big farm dog a few times... Twisted Evil

That's a fine pike there! The advantage of catching them as a child is that they look much larger in the photographs!

I remember my first pike vividly. I don't remember my exact age (12 or 13 I think) but it was 4lb 4oz, caught on a jointed plug. Honestly remember it like it was yesterday, despite it being 20 years ago.

Aye mate, good thing about fishing canals is they go for miles. I'll move on over the weekend.

On a good note my China post turned up and made me a happy man.

I paid 30 job lot.

First time using and putting on my own braid and never used a baitcaster, Wish me luck and give me some tips if you can lads.

Hey guys, Sorry about the no show for a while, i havnt been catching much but had a brilliant 3 days this week so thought i would share my catches.

All caught on a half/tail of herring or makerel on a ledger type rig and flat floating float and a little something red for good luck on the bait.

Some Close ups for people who are interested

And broke my PB again with a 16lb 9oz lump.

Hey adie, cheers pal. Changing tactics and spots can help a lot, i think it was over that weight and maybe my scales were dodgy?, it looks over 20 that thing. What do you think.

Pulled this little chap on my waggler rod fishing for live bait. luckily i felt bad for this one and put him back, still as beautiful as any pike.
One day he/she will grow into a 20lb for some youngen to catch (if it survives)

Would love to get one like that for my pond! I've a couple of 1000 litre tanks separated from the pond and could supply the little pikelet with thousands of little roach to grow huge on. I've had them that size in the past on small spinners and worms.

i just checked the price of a frozen jack bait Mad

Bit pricey and so is some of that site for the regular stuff but seen they have some hard to find baits which is cool.

How much is delivery from there.
