Newbie here from nr Oxford

Hi guys. I have joined up because my mate is crossing things off his bucket list & he’s always wanted to catch a 30lb Pike.
I said to him “come on let’s do it, let’s go & get one!”
We did a bucket list fish the other day, he’d never caught a Salmon, so we went spinning in Scotland & the jammy sod caught a 9lb 7oz monster.
I love spinning, i like the simplicity of it, but i guess going for a big pike will need beefier stuff.

That's a lofty ambition - I do wish you luck. I have been chasing one for 20 years maybe lowering your sights to a twenty might be hard enough!! Anyhow, all the best.
