Re: pike still active on the lures
Nice to see a pike on the bank - well done sir!
I'm stuck between the frozen loch I usually fish and everywhere else either being fished dry or flooded. I'm moaning a lot, I know, but it's been a dreadfully tough season (as evidenced by the general lack of larger fish being caught by members of the forum).
Praying for a warm spell!

I know pal when the temps really drop its really hard going they just shut down... been to the same venue again , the jacks are having it but yet again the bigger fish falling to the dead baits , but still keep losing them either at the net or falling off like you say they are very lethargic only taking the deads very delicately and just nicked in the mouth ......still better striking earlier to avoid deep hooking's.... chin up muck springs on the way.....J Robinson wrote:Nice to see a pike on the bank - well done sir!
