New pike fisher from Norway
Hi everybody!
I've recently been kind of "hooked" (pun intended) on fishing and pike in particular. I've yet to land a decent one though
I've singed up here at this forum to learn from you guys and pick up on tips and tricks as how to land the big mama's in the lakes and rivers.
I look forward to my participation here and to get to know you guys and gals

Re: New pike fisher from Norway
you may have to wait a while to see any action on here. from mid September it gets very busy, but summer pike fishing is not practiced by many members. welcome anyway
Re: New pike fisher from Norway
Thanks for the welcome
Why is that? Why isn't pike fishing "hot" in the summer?
Where I live the pike is at its most active period in the warm summer months.

Our water temps are hovering between 21C and 24C, pike suffer from overheating in the prolonged fight they give when the waters warm. 16C is the cut off point for most Pike Anglers in the UK. brain damage can occur apparently.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for clarification buddy:)
I plan on eating it if I get one tonight so then I suppose I can fish even in warm water, but I should stop once I've gotten one.
I didn't realise it being so dangerous to the fish.
Day one and I've learned stuff already
