I know i had good fishing lol, but it was tough to know where to start Wink several thousand acres, and depths to over 100ft and me the only boat on it. sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. Its a long way from Langold lake and the Chesterfield canal where I grew up Wink That little red dot is my drifter Very Happy

It was only a matter of time before you got your first twenty and what a great place to catch it in.

Different venue today,  not quite as big,  or deep,  but stunning all the same.  frost on the boat and mist on the water.  Stunning pikey weather.  A single fish of 16lb 2oz saved the blank,  and only one other dropped run.  Minus 3 last night has slowed everything down.

I was out Sunday on my lightly fished water and had this 13Lbs 3oz fish along with a Jack of about 4Lbs that was unhooked in the water. I had the hooks pull on what felt a heavier fish and also totally fluffed my lines with a fresh air strike on a screaming run. I reckon I had the double a few weeks ago at 13Lbs 2oz as it has a slight deformity on the tail fin which makes it recognisable.

Some nice fish in stunning locations. We were out yesterday we just caught a Jack each - just can't get anything big at the moment . I did have an incident with the bait boat - it broke down in the middle of the lake but fortunately it drifted back into the shore eventually - it's very difficult watching £2,500 of bait boat floating away!!

plenty of perch and roach

Post  stubbo on Sun Nov 11, 2018 9:33 pm

hi all been out today chasing big perch again ,but was greeted on the venue with cormorants eating the venue dry watched them all day eating fish , then resting up for 15minutes or so , then back at em, had a load of small perch and roach in the margins but nothing on the bait rods
it was hard work too with all the leaves falling all over , if I did not get a bite in 10 seconds there was a bloody leaf on my hook very frustrating day ......that's fishing ....is there only me fishing on this site or as it gone quiet lol!
