nice one Steve I had a split day , I did a couple hours on the river for just a 2 pound jack on a tiny shad , then this afternoon went with a couple of mates for a wander along the canal on a stretch that sometimes throws up good size perch , but today we blanked , ah well at least our dogs had a good walk Smile

My adopted Kid and I got out yesterday for a few hours. It was cold with a high of about 2 deg C and a bit of wind making fishing tuff. We fished the P.O. river with jerkbaits landing 5 fish total. All the fish we got yesterday were small from 23 to 27 inches. We did get a monster a few days ago when the kid got this 43 3/4"

Beautiful pike Fisn-n-fool. class looking Very Happy
well done to everyone who is getting out and catching the odd one.
All my stars have finally aligned and its fishing time again. 4 weeks without wetting a line and I am chomping at the bit for tomorrow. Its hopefully 3 days on the bounce but if its 2 blanks then scrap the third day. I just hope to land my first fish of 2019 Wink

Well lads,  another day for another single bite Embarassed    BUT  what a bite!!!!!!!   Stunning scenery, and a warm January day all topped off with a whopper.  After yesterdays struggle I decided to fish a water where one bite could be enough for a PB,   it wasnt to be but probably the fattest Pike ive ever caught lol
I feel my pike fire has been reignited now,   come on that 30 Wink Wink Wink

adie , don't be to downhearted pal the fishing has really slowed up pal due to the temps falling , don't give up on your venue just yet , wait for a slight rise in the temps and it will produce again, we all are struggling to catch pike in numbers , seems to be 1 fish a session at the moment.
