Re: FLOAT TUBES
lure fishing
big sharp trebles
inflatable device
no room to move a great deal you have to bring the fish very close to you to unhook it
well can you see where im going with this
a better bet would be a sit on canoe or bic type of boat sportyyak/252 plastimo bathtub thing, sniper etc
and you can stick an engine on them
i own a 10foot sniper which ok is too much to walk any great distance with but the smaller bic's and plastimo things come/can be fitted with wheels, and the canoe styles can be carried over your shoulder
earlier this year i got a 15 foot canoe to convert into a sit on style its a project that hopefully ill be getting started on soon the canoe cost 20 quid and all told im working on around a £100 to do the whole job (inclusive of rods retainers which cost 30 quid)

Re: FLOAT TUBES
I'm with Noodle on this one Mr Makk.
You wouldn't get me anywhere near one of those. I guarantee that I will end up in the drink, and I don't fancy that at any time of year.
Pike fishing suicide IMHO
Although you could always keep the treble guards on your lures
