3 a day or 10 a year, mind you in the last 20 years i have only been asked for my licence once Question Question Question glad you caught adie, i always fish the "thorne" side casting to the boats. my best fish from the canal was from here while i was fishing with mr webster (he blanked if i remember correctly lol! )

I usually go on the other side of the bridge somewhere between the bridge and Barnby Dun.

Only been to that section of the canal once.

That was lure fishing.

yes andy thats the fish i was on about, mind you i would not have turned my nose up at that perch you had on the lure, that was a real dog perch Shocked Shocked Shocked bye the way the fish weighed 19lb4oz, and as you can see it had no belly, in feb/march i'm sure it would have been around 24lb, it had the length.

No guarantees in this game Bazz. I have always struggled on here, but I have seen others catch nice fish. One day my time will come.

well i have no problem fishing a more difficult venue as long as some of us catch fish.... even if its not me that catches!!!
just a point but what about inviting duane since he is in bad need of advice.... i mean i realise he'd probably have a bit of a drive to get there but the advice we could give if we were all face to face with him could be invaluable in helping him catch his first few pike

To be perfectly honest, I don't care if I blank.

To me fishing is all about getting out in the open air, preferably with friends, and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. You can relax whilst trying your hand at outwitting the water's occupants.

If I catch, I class that as a bonus.
